Title & Role:
Leadership & Pastoral Support
Spiritual Journey:
I was raised in South Africa, and from a young age I was surrounded by strong examples of faith from both my parents and the church community. Over the years, the Lord guided me into deeper relationship with Him, shaping my character and calling. For almost 20 years I served in leadership and ministry, and those years cultivated in me a passion for discipleship, spiritual growth, and seeing people encounter Jesus in a real and personal way. Moving to Ireland in 2022 has been a new chapter, and we are excited to continue that journey here in Wexford.
Vision for the Church:
My heart is to see the church grow stronger in discipleship, marriage and family life, and the foundations of faith. I believe that when believers are grounded in truth, supported in their marriages and families, and empowered in their walk with God, the whole church becomes healthier and more effective. I would love to see us continue building a community where people are known, loved, and equipped to live out their God-given purpose.
Educational Background:
I have a background in Architectural Technology and currently serve as a Marketing and Project Manager. In addition, I bring nearly two decades of hands-on ministry leadership experience in South Africa, including extensive discipleship work with men, women, and couples.
Family and Personal Values:
My wife Adel and I have been married for more than 20 years, and together we are blessed with two amazing children, Janro and Danika. Family is one of our highest values, creating a home filled with love, faith, and intentionality.
Passions and Interests:
We are actively involved with Faith Foundations at WXCCC, where we journey with new believers as they grow in their walk with Christ. We also run the marriage counselling ministry here at the church, encouraging every couple, no matter the season they’re in, to invest in their marriage at least once a year. On the lighter side, I enjoy cycling, playing golf, and I’m a very enthusiastic (and sometimes loud!) Springbok rugby supporter.
Fun fact:
I’ve been known to get very passionate during Springbok matches, my neighbours don’t need a TV, they just listen to me and know the score.
